Keeping books for a construction office is an often unique and challenging undertaking! Believe it or not, our contracting businesses are not likely to fail due to our FIELD operations.... we most often fail due to mismangement of our FINANCIAL records, bookkeeping and business practices. This workshop has been developed to assist the practicing contractor and his/her staff with the accounting, bookkeeping and job costing details of keeping up with the day-to-day business of running a construction office.
We will begin with reviewing the proper set up of your chart of accounts (you really shouldn't have five pages of accounts), then review balance sheet and income statement documents and compare with job cost reports. This classroom workshop will include worksheets and class problems to assist you in understanding the "behind the scenes" work of our accounting software applications. We'll also review lien forms, workers comp and safety. Bring (or send) your staff to this informative seminar!
