Electrical contractors are required to complete 14 hours of continuing education - of which 7 hours must be in technical subject areas. This course fulfills the requirement for those 7 hours of technical subject area (and yes, we understand that if you're practicing in the field today YOU could just as easily teach a class about the National Electric Code as we can!.) This technical sminar has been developed to educate both electrical and construction industry professionals in the calculations incorporated into the NEC - including life safety code applications. Based on the NEC, topics will include: plan interpretation and specification layout, box and conduit fills, wiring, grounding and overcurrent protection. Electrical formulas, mathematics (including residential and commercial load calculations) and problem solving will be illustrated by applying the NEC to construction plans and documents.
