Purpose

This two-day, hands-on computer training session is an all-new, in-depth design exercise which incorporates state-of-the-art object based, interactive design technology specific to residential and light commercial structures. this course has been designed specifically for current builders, design and drafting professionals who are currently working in either a 2-D or "by-hand" environment. This course will teach you hands-on how to create fully dimensioned floor plans and construction details with ease. You will be able to produce all of the construction, sales and marketing documents necessary for building and selling residential and light commercial contracting. STUDENTS ATTENDING THIS HANDS-ON COMPUTER TRAINING MUST POSSESS KEYBOARD AND MOUSE SKILLS.

Topics and Exercises Include:

Designing a multi-story dwelling from the foundation to the roof in proper sequence. Students will generate a residential design complete with elevations, cross-sections, site plan, photo-realistic 3D stills and 3D animations. A fully detailed and accurate bill of materials will also be generated, as well as making revisions and modifications to the prints. Workers compensation, workplace safety and business practices will also be covered.
