CONSTRUCTION LICENSEES

  • State Certified construction contractors (license begins with "C") need 14 hours of continuing education renewing on August 31st of every EVEN year. The state REQUIRES 1 workers comp, 1 business practice, 1 workplace safety, 1 CILB Laws and Rules, 1 Wind Mitigation for most categories, and 1 Advanced Code. Take our "Florida Contractor Required Hours" classroom course and ANY OTHER 7-hour course to get the correct hours in a classroom course. Online, do a CILB 14-hour bundle.
  • Registered construction licensees (license begins with "R") need 14 hours of continuing education renewing on August 31st of every ODD year. The state REQUIRES 1 workers comp, 1 business practice, 1 workplace safety, 1 CILB Laws and Rules, 1 Wind Mitigation for most categories, and 1 Advanced Code.  Take our "Florida Contractor Required Hours" classroom course and ANY OTHER 7-hour course to get the correct hours in a classroom course. Online, do a CILB 14-hour bundle.

  • All electrical licensees, certified and registered, need 14 hours of continuing renew August 31st of every EVEN YEAR. The state REQUIRES 1 workers comp, 1 business practice, 1 workplace safety, 1 ECLB Laws and Rules, 1 Advanced Code, and 7 Technical hours.Take our "Florida Contractor Required Hours" classroom course and 7-hour National Electrical Code class to get the correct hours in a classroom course. Online, do a ECLB 14-hour bundle.
  • Our FREE Advanced Code course is being offered free of charge to licensed contractors through a grant from the DBPR "Building A Safer Florida" program. Check our schedule out...

HOME INSPECTORS 

  • Take the "Florida Home Inspector CE" to get all of your 14 hours (they have to be specifically on home inspection/building systems topics) to renew July 31st of EVEN years. Take our 14-hour Home Inspector CE course - these CLASSROOM hours will cross over to CILB licenses as well. Online do our HI 14 hour bundle. Online courses will NOT cross over to the CILB.

MOLD LICENSES

  • Take the 14 hour Principles of Mold Assessment & Remediation to get all of your 14 hours (they have to be specifically on mold related topics) to renew July 31st of EVEN years. Take our 14 hour Principles of Mold Assessment & Remediation - these CLASSROOM courses will cross over to the CILB. Online take the 14-hour Mold bundle. Online courses will only cross over for 7 hours.

MULTIPLE LICENSES 

  • It gets complicated if you hold licenses that are governed under several boards (like if you have a Mold license, a Home Inspector license, AND a construction license). Review the approval information under each course, or give us a call to sort it out so you are taking the right course(s)!

  • Log into your online account with the state at myfloridalicense.com to find out specifically what KIND of hours and we can make recommendations for you! 

CLASSROOM LOCATIONS

  • We are offering continuing education classes in our main location Hudson, Florida with a few classroom courses in outlying cities during the few months before renewal. Because of increased hotel costs, we have limited classes held in hotel facilities outside of our 'home' Learning Center and they will cost a little more. We still provide lunch for our students in all of our continuing education classes! We are proud to offer the best continuing education courses on the market -- you won't sleep through OUR classes!
  • Contractors Institute Hudson Learning Center-  Hudson Learning Center is located at 8238 Joliet St, Hudson, FL 34667 -- in the 15000 block off off of U.S 19. It is located next to our central offices and bookstore.

CI-Certified Training Programs

  • Take your CE courses and get certified at the same time! Our CI-Certified training programs offer advanced certificates of competency to qualified construction industry professionals.
  • Contractors Institute is the official training provider of the Association of Construction Industry Certified Professionals (ACICP). Upon course completion CI-Certified professionals receive an automatic membership into ACICP and authorization to display the ACICP badge as a mark of professional excellency.
